Iriminage practice.

Fall down seven times, get up eight.

This is an old Japanese saying, and it makes a lot of sense if you think about it.  It refers to overcoming hardships, preserverence, detetmination, and persistance.

It is in reality, however, an imposibility.  You cannot fall down seven times and get up an eighth time.  If you are down on number seven, when you do get up, you will be getting up for the seventh time.

Think of it like this.  You jump up in the air. Seven times.  When you come back down and your feet touch the ground, how many times did your feet touch the ground?  If you counted correctly, it is seven times.
